Description

This one is for the kids who love mythology, old and new. We'll look at how graphic novel adaptations and Percy Jackson made mythology fun again and why myths endure and still keep readers turning pages today. We'll play with fan fic and create our own additions to the canon. The class is held in Orinda, on the Moraga border, close to OIS and Del Rey Elementary. 

Description

Workshop 26 was founded to provide a space for elementary and middle schoolers to work on their writing skills and connect with other kids. We believe that writing is better when shared with friends, better still when it happens off screens and outdoors. We believe that small group classes create safe spaces, where kids can learn to trust their creative voices and share their stories with confidence. We believe that kids learn best when it feels like play, and we always, always, play with words.
